Find out how to view evidence and appeal against a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).

In most cases, our civil enforcement officers and bus lane cameras will record photographic or video evidence of parking or bus lane offences.
You will need your:
- vehicle registration number
- PCN number (starts with "LS" followed by eight numbers/letters)

How to appeal
If you don’t think you should have been issued with a PCN, you can appeal against it.
If we receive your appeal within 14 days of the PCN being issued, the charge will be frozen at the lower amount shown on your ticket or letter.
If your appeal is unsuccessful you will be given a further 14 days to pay the lower charge from the date of the decision.

You will receive email confirmation that we have received your appeal. We aim to respond within ten working days.

Write to us explaining why you shouldn't have been issued with a Penalty Charge Notice.
Please include:
- your PCN number (starts with 'LS' followed by eight numbers/letters)
- any evidence that will support your appeal
