Find out about our visit to your licensed, privately rented home in a selective licensing area.
We will be carrying out a visit in the areas of Beeston and Harehills to make sure your landlord is meeting the conditions set in their licence and is properly managing your home and tenancy.

What happens during a visit
During the visit we will:
- need access to all the rooms in the property including the basement
- check the condition of each room, for example whether doors and windows can be fully opened and closed
- follow covid safety guidelines
You can get advice on any concerns you may have and how to deal with them. If your landlord is responsible for an issue, we can raise the matter with them on your behalf.
We also want to listen to any concerns or difficulties you feel living in the area.
After the visit
Once the visit is done, with your permission, we will speak with partners who may be able to help you with any issues and concerns you may have. If there are issues with your home, we will raise them with your landlord.
If you don't live in a selectively licensed property
If you own your own home or live in a council or Housing Asscociation property, we do not need to visit your home but can still offer any help or advice you may need.
