What we do, using our service, and opportunities to work with us.
What we do
We deliver and divert youth work intervention to young people aged 11 to 17 (25 for those with additional and complex needs) and communities who need it most.
Issue-based youth work is at the core of our delivery with sessions focused on emotional and mental wellbeing, positive decision-making, risk-taking behaviours, sexual health, substance misuse, physical health, peer pressure, sports, fitness, participation, and empowerment, to name a few.
To find out more about the youth work programme in your area, email

Apply to volunteer
If you are passionate about helping and supporting young people, and have a spare evening you are willing to commit to, email
youth.service@leeds.gov.uk, we will be in touch with the next steps.
You will receive a service introduction session and a variety of free training and development.
All volunteers must have a full DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. If you are worried about this you can talk to one of the managers, as having a criminal record does not necessarily mean you won't be able to volunteer with us.
