Anyone can apply to hire one of our venues. It can be for a one off event or on a regular basis for up to a year.

Here you will find lists of the venues you can hire from us, including some information about how much they cost.
Any costs given are for room hire only and there may be additional costs such as caretaker or steward charges or insurance. This will depend on the type of booking you make.
To check availability, get help choosing a venue or to discuss costs please contact us.
You may qualify for a discount rate if you are a voluntary or non profit organisation.
Schools and children's centres
Prices
Hire prices are set by the school's governing body. They may have lower prices for voluntary and non profit organisations who want to hire out their spaces. To find out more about pricing and your hiring options, email us at educ.lettings@leeds.gov.uk.
Most schools only take bookings for dates that are during term time. Though some schools may consider bookings over the summer holidays and half terms. You can use the school calendar to help plan your event.

Morley Town Hall is a grade one listed building with 4 different venues available for hire.
Alexandra Hall and Morleian Hall are larger theatre style venues, which have stages that can be used for performances. They can also be hired for events and celebrations. The banqueting halls are ideal for wedding receptions and smaller celebrations.

What you'll need
You will need insurance and may need other paperwork depending on the type of your event or activity.
All bookings: insurance
You must have third party hirers public liability insurance to cover up to £5 million.
Children (under 19) will be there
If you will be running activities for children under 19, you must have a child protection policy and a health and safety policy.
Vulnerable adults will be there
If vulnerable adults will be there, for example people with disabilities or older people who are less able to protect themselves, you must have an adult safeguarding policy.
Teaching exercise classes and physical activities
If your event involves teaching or training an exercise or sport, you must have a relevant teaching or coaching qualification.
Serving food or alcohol
Halls and community centres
If you will be serving food to the public in a hall or community centre, you must have a food hygiene certificate, Level 2 or above.
If you will be selling alcohol, when we confirm your booking we will ask you to apply for a temporary events notice.
Schools and children's centres
It is not possible for you to serve food or alcohol in a school or children's centre because the kitchens are not available for hire.
Check availability
Email us to check which venues are available and get an application pack. We can also suggest venues if you are not sure which one is right for you.
In your email you should include:
- your contact details
- your organisation's details (and charity number if you have one)
- your ideal venues or areas, in order of preference
- the purpose of the hire, for example a music event or exercise class
- the age of people who will be there (children under 19, adults, or a mix of both)
- your ideal days and times, in order of preference (it can be a regular or one off booking)
- if you will be serving food or alcohol

What happens next
We will send you an application form and details of available venues. To book, you must send us this completed application form and any supporting documents we ask for.
We will assess your application and ask for more information if we need it. When your chosen venue agrees to your booking, we will send you a hire agreement to sign.
Your booking will not be confirmed until you sign and return the hire agreement.
