Supporting health, wellbeing and happiness for older people from the Black, Asian, minority ethnic community.
Who we help
We're here to support older people from Black, Asian, minority ethnic communities all over Leeds.
We support people who:
- have physical or mental health needs (including frailty)
- are isolated or vulnerable
- have a carer who needs a break
What we do
We aim to help older people improve their wellbeing, boost their confidence, avoid loneliness, and get the support they need to live well through any challenges they have.
Support we offer includes:
- phone support to check how you're doing
- information and advice about any problems you're having
- signposting to other organisations that can help
- access to other care and support services if you need them
- group activities within and outside the hub
- training and information sharing/workshops
We also work to tackle stigma and stereotypes and to break down barriers faced by minority groups.
