The plan sets out where land is needed to enable us to manage resources like minerals, energy, waste and water over the next 15 years. It also identifies actions which will help us use our natural resources in a more efficient way.
It was adopted by the council on 16 January 2013 with modifications recommended by the Inspector following examination of the plan.
Flood risk
The Plan includes a reference to the council’s Minimum Development Control Standards for Flood Risk. These have been updated to take account of the Environment Agency update to Climate Change Allowances in October 2021.
Adoption of Policies Minerals 13 and 14
Following a high court challenge, policies minerals 13 and 14 have been re-examined and found sound and were adopted on 16 September 2015.
