Our training room is a free resource that can be used by members to deliver training courses, workshops, seminars, and other free development opportunities to the workforce of Leeds, including volunteers.
It is available for bookings on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
The room is air-conditioned and Wi-Fi enabled and has full conferencing facilities. Other features include magnetic whiteboards and a display rail for showcasing loanable resources from the PHRC. If you’re planning a training or development session on a particular public health topic, we can create an eye-catching display of resources for you on your request.

Room capacity and layout
The training room capacity varies depending on your seating needs. You should have access to 6 tables (foldaway) and 30 chairs. It is your responsibility to lay out the room as you wish. When booking the room, please allow time for setting up and packing away.

Booking guidance
Please read the following guidance before booking a room:
- bookings can be made up to one year in advance
- to ensure fair access to all, we will limit the frequency of bookings for individual organisations and services to a maximum of five days per calendar month
- the room is intended for groups of six or more, but may be available for smaller groups with special requirements - email

- cancellations must be communicated at the earliest possible convenience, preferably two weeks prior to the booking. It is the responsibility of the organisation making the booking to ensure delegates know that the training has been cancelled
- we would be grateful for your support in promoting the PHRC during your use of the training room. If you would like, one of the team can attend in person to promote the service, or we can provide information on a slide for you
- in exceptional circumstances the room may be booked by Leeds City Council employees for a meeting if it is available one week in advance
