The travel to work survey is an annual survey that helps us to identify commuting trends and helps us to inform future transport investment decisions.
The survey also helps businesses and organisations to meet
travel plan obligations at individual places of work.
The 2022 survey ran between Monday 31 October and Friday 9 December 2022.

Previous survey results
Over 9,000 individual responses were received in 2021. The results showed a glimpse of how COVID-19 will have a lasting impact on how people work, and how often they will commute to the workplace.
Over 25% of those surveys were working from home, with around two-thirds of those responding indicating they will no longer go to their workplace 5 days a week, instead working a hybrid mix of home and workplace working.
