Register and mark your bike for free at one of our events to prevent theft.
BikeRegister is a national cycle database that protects bicycles from theft and helps the police to reunite stolen bicycles with their owners.
In partnership with West Yorkshire Police, we run BikeRegister events at schools, workplaces and in communities across Leeds throughout the year.
What happens at a BikeRegister event
Bring your bike to one of our BikeRegister events, and we’ll register it for you for free. We’ll mark the frame of your bike with a tamper-proof QR code sticker, then add your bike details and BikeRegister ID to the national police database. The database is used by every police force in the UK to search for stolen and recovered bikes.
Olympic champion and Leeds Active Travel Ambassador Alastair Brownlee launched the scheme in Leeds.
