Become a volunteer with the Leeds Youth Service, working with and supporting young people in your spare time.
We deliver a range of activities and services for young people aged from 11 to 19, 7 days a week. There are many opportunities for volunteering with us, including:
- helping to run a youth club
- driving one of our mobile provisions or minibuses
- supporting activities at one of our outdoor centres
- working with young people who need support around education, employment or training
- delivering street based work
- helping to deliver at our targeted provision such as our LGBT+ group or SEND group (children and young people with additional needs)
Volunteering with Leeds Youth Service is a fulfilling way to gain experience of working with children and young people and develop a new skill set.
How to apply
All our volunteers will need to have a full DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. If you are worried about this you can talk to one of the managers, as having a criminal record does not necessarily mean you won't be able to volunteer with us.
If you are passionate about helping and supporting young people, willing to learn, want a new challenge and have a spare afternoon or evening you are willing to commit to, then please
