Synergy and Leeds City Council are committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due the non-compliances listed below.
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
The school search box is not keyboard accessible due to users being unable to tab into the search results box. There is an alternative available through advanced search. This fails WCAG criteria 2.1.1 Keyboard.
The focus order when navigating between some pages does not reset to the top of the new content. This fails WCAG criteria 2.4.3 Focus order.
Tables that have edit functionality have no table header to explain the purpose of that column. This fails WCAG criteria 1.3.1 Info and Relationships.
General mark-up errors across the site. This fails WCAG criteria 4.1.1 Parsing.
Icons used for progress through the form are using ARIA attributes not valid for spans/divs. This fails WCAG criteria 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value.
Nested interactive controls are not announced by screen readers. Accordions have roles set as buttons with information within them which is not valid mark-up. This fails WCAG criteria 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value.
Autocomplete attribute of the email address is set to 'current-password' and is incorrect mark-up. This fails WCAG Criteria 1.3.5 Identify input purpose.
Invalid form entry form hints are not linked to their respective inputs on the create account page so will not be read out to screen reader users. This fails WCAG Criteria 3.3.2 Labels and instructions.
