We are responsible for producing a Local Plan which guides future growth in Leeds. This helps us decide where and when development takes place.
The adopted Local Plan documents provide a framework for all new developments in Leeds, and are used as a basis for making decisions on planning applications. Emerging Local Plan documents identify sites for development to ensure that enough land is available in appropriate locations to meet growth targets set out in the Core strategy.
